About this practice
Use this before a big project or meeting to settle your mind. A guided session of about 15 minutes, suited to all levels. Nothing is recorded and no account is needed.
What happens, minute by minute
- 0:00Sit at a desk or a chair where you can keep your spine tall, feet flat, and shoulders relaxed.
- 1:25Close your eyes gently and bring your attention to the breath moving in and out of your nostrils.
- 2:45Inhale slowly to a count of four, feel the air fill the space behind your ribs, then exhale to a count of six, letting any tension drift away.
- 4:03Listen to the faint ticking of a wall clock, the soft hum of the computer fan, let those sounds anchor you to the present moment.
- 5:19Now notice the weight of your hands resting on your thighs, the slight coolness of the wood against your skin.
- 6:33Feel the air on your face, a gentle draft like a kettle that has just been turned off, steady and calm.
- 7:45Allow your shoulders to drop about an inch, releasing the tightness that builds when you think about deadlines.
- 8:55Observe the rise and fall of your belly with each breath, a quiet rhythm that steadies the mind.
- 10:03Picture a plain notebook on your desk, its pages crisp and waiting for your thoughts.
- 10:33Write in your mind a single task you need to finish today, the words clear and concise.
- 11:03See each step of that task as a short line, simple and ordered, no extra detail.
- 11:33Notice how the lines sit neatly, one after another, giving you a sense of order.
- 12:03Imagine a colleague passing you a cup of coffee, the steam curling up like a quiet sigh.
- 12:33Feel the warmth of the cup travel into your palms, a steady anchor for your focus.
- 13:03Take a breath, let that steadiness settle into the space behind your eyes.
- 13:33When you open your eyes, notice the room again, the light on the monitor, the chair beneath you.
- 14:03Carry this calm into the next meeting, letting each word you speak be measured and clear.
- 14:33You are ready to work with focus, confidence, and a quiet mind.
