What happens, minute by minute
- 0:00Find a comfortable seat. Let your feet rest flat on the floor.
- 0:08Close your eyes gently. Take a deep breath in, slowly.
- 0:18Exhale, releasing any tension you might be holding.
- 0:30Now, bring your attention to your hands. Feel the warmth of your skin.
- 0:44With each breath, imagine your body becoming heavier.
- 1:00Inhale, and as you exhale, let your shoulders drop about an inch.
- 1:18Focus on the rhythm of your breath. Notice the rise and fall of your chest.
- 1:38If your mind wanders, gently bring your focus back to your breath.
- 2:00As you inhale, think of a calm, still pond. On the exhale, imagine a gentle breeze.
- 2:24Keep breathing deeply, allowing your body to relax more with each breath.
- 2:50Feel the weight of your body supported by the chair or the ground.
- 3:18If you hear a dog sighing outside, let that sound guide you back to your breath.
- 3:48With each breath, your body feels more relaxed.
- 4:20Inhale, and as you exhale, let go of any remaining tension.
- 4:54Now, bring your awareness to your surroundings.
- 5:30Can you hear the hum of the kettle? Let that sound be a reminder to breathe deeply.
- 6:08Feel the cool air on your skin. Notice the texture of your clothing.
- 6:48Inhale, and as you exhale, let your body sink into the chair a little more.
- 7:30If you can, take one more deep breath. Hold it for a moment.
- 8:14Now, slowly release the breath. Feel the weight of your body lift.
- 9:00Open your eyes when you're ready. Take a moment to feel your body's calmness.
- 9:48Gently move your hands and feet. Wiggle your toes and fingers.
- 10:38When you're ready, slowly stand up. Feel the support of your legs beneath you.
- 11:30Thank yourself for this moment of calm. You did well.
